Package: libvoikko1 Version: 2.1-2 Severity: grave The location for morphological data files has changed in version 2.1 of libvoikko. voikko-fi version 1.3-1 still places the data files in the old location. Therefore upgrading libvoikko from 2.0-2 to 2.1-2 makes the library fail with the following error: $ voikkospell E: Initialization of Voikko failed: No valid dictionaries were found
This makes the library unusable, unless the user has manually installed suitable morphological data files under $HOME/.voikko/1/mor-standard (quite unlikely for ordinary users). To avoid breakage, this version libvoikko1 should not be coinstallable with current or previous version of voikko-fi. I believe that Breaks or Conflicts should be added against old versions of voikko-fi and a new version of voikko-fi should be uploaded that places the files in correct location and declares similar conflicts against older versions of libvoikko1.
