Bug#527161: sasl2-bin tools segfault
Hello everyone! First off, thanks for supporting each other on this issue, it gave me the opportunity to fix the root cause! Please try version 2.1.22.dfsg1-25, it should now be correctly compiled *and* linked with libdb4.7 and that segfault should no longer occur. Bug#527161: sasl2-bin tools segfault after upgrading to 2.1.22.dfsg1-23+b1
Sorry to have to add a me too here. After yesterdays update, it wasn't possible to access my IMAP-server. I got the same DB-get: method not permitted before handle's open method messages as described in the OP. Please tell, if you need some more information. JFTR: Downgraded to 2.1.22.dfsg1-23 to temporary fix the situation. Regards, Daniel -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#527161: sasl2-bin tools segfault after upgrading to 2.1.22.dfsg1-23+b1
Hi Fabian, With 2.1.22.dfsg1-23 I have mixed results; for example sasldblistusers2 gives proper output (with 2.1.22.dfsg1-23+b1 it segfaults), but saslpasswd2 segfaults. saslpasswd2 -c test Password: Again (for verification): : Successful return: 0 DB-fd: method not permitted before handle's open method Segmentation fault Also, with 2.1.22.dfsg1-23 postfix still complains about: warning: SASL authentication failure: error fetching from sasldb: Invalid argument My setup has been running for a years without problems, until yesterday's upgrade. I guess it's more ore less the typical postfix/sasl setup, based on for example this howto: http://tribulaciones.org/docs/postfixsasltls-howto-for-debian-sid-and-sarge/ Best regards, Daan Willems P.S. I noticed /etc/default/saslauthd.dpkg-dist uses: OPTIONS=-c -m /var/spool/postfix/var/run/saslauthd where /etc/init.d/saslauthd wants PARAMS. Fabian Fagerholm wrote: Hi Daan, Thanks for the report!
