OK

and I can't reproduce it. Can we close the bug, or is this specific to
 some architecture or scenario?

I'm still having it with my squeeze amd64 box. The difference may be
that on my box I have aclocal-1.10 and during the build it gets run to
 update the autostuff.

It doesn't happen here, but that would explain it I think. It's been
autogenerated in the wrong order or not everything. Are you building it in a
clean chroot? When I build it here, aclocal and libtool aren't installed.

Cheers,
Emilio

The issue is with my work box, in my clean chroot there is no issue
indeed, and there aren't aclocal/libtool/etc.

OK. I've built it out of the chroot with libtool et al installed, and I got the
failure too. The problem is that 16_armel-gnueabi.patch was patching configure,
and then some autotools were ran during the build as they were outdated. I've
fixed it by not patching configure in 16, and rerunning autoreconf in
90_autoreconf.patch.

Cheers,
Emilio

The libtool maintainer said this is because there is a mixture of
libtool versions in the source and scripts should probably just be
 regenerated.

This seems to have been built everywhere now, and I can't reproduce it. Can we
close the bug, or is this specific to some architecture or scenario?

quit When the quit statement is read, the bc processor
is terminated, regardless of where the quit state-
ment is found. For example, if (0 == 1) quit
   will cause bc to terminate.
(Seen in the manpage for bc. Note the if statement's logic)
