It seems it works under Sid but not under Squeeze. I tested it with the same *.odb file. As I can see all related packages have the same version number. --=20 Dipl. Ing. Can you still reproduce this issue in sid? We recently received a report that it is not reproducible[1]. ~Niels [1]http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=3D569002#25 signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

What do you mean with > 'Connection to OpenOffice.org failed'? How can we reproduce the bug? You need a working mysql-server I tried it with a mysql-server from stable. there you need a testdatabase with a table I installed libmysql-java at the client under Squeeze where also is installed OpenOffice.org Then: Open OpenOffice.org Base Choose "Connection to an existing database" Choose MySQL in the listbox -> Continue Choose Java Database Connectivity -> Continue Input Database name and Database server -> Continue Input User name and if password required -> Continue -> Finish then save this *.odb file open this *.odb file and choose Tables input your user name and password if required then you get the error message -- Dipl. Package: libmysql-java Version: 5.1.10+dfsg-2 Severity: serious Justification: Regression and release critical This works under Lenny like a charm. Under Squeeze i get the error message "Communications link failure." It happens as I tested it with the Debian version of openOffice.org as I tested it with the vanilla version under Squeeze. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-trunk-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libmysql-java depends on: ii gcj-4.4-jre-headless [java2 4.4.3-1 Java runtime environment using GIJ ii gcj-jre-headless [java2-run 4:4.4.2-3Java runtime environment using GIJ ii gij-4.3 [java2-runtime-head 4.3.4-4 The GNU Java bytecode interpreter ii openjdk-6-jre-headless [jav 6b17~pre3-1 OpenJDK Java runtime, using Hotspo ii sun-java5-jre [java2-runtim 1.5.0-17-0.1 Sun Java(TM) Runtime Environment ( ii sun-java6-jre [java2-runtim 6-16-1 Sun Java(TM) Runtime Environment ( libmysql-java recommends no packages.
