Bug#587575: mock broken due to its sub components exit with python exception
Hi, I don't see how yum could be at fault here, the python trace dumped when starting mock shows an error in python-urlgrabber. Besides this, as I know that Debian just finished a transition to python 2.6, so I just tried to use yum in it the following way: yum -c /tmp/chroot_centos/yum.conf -y install basesystem \ centos-release yum wget which yum-basearchonly \ nano rsyslog passwd joe screen With my yum.conf being as follow: [main] reposdir=/tmp/chroot_centos/repos.d pluginconfpath=/tmp/chroot_centos/pluginconf.d cachedir=/var/cache/yum installroot=/tmp/chroot_centos exclude=*.i386 *.i586 *.i686 keepcache=1 #debuglevel=4 #errorlevel=4 pkgpolicy=newest distroverpkg=centos-release tolerant=1 exactarch=1 obsoletes=1 gpgcheck=1 plugins=1 metadata_expire=1800 it did work as expected, and installed a CentOS chroot. So yum seems to work just fine in SID. Please prove me that yum is the problem here, otherwise reassign to mock or python-urlgrabber ! * Thomas Goirand , 2010-07-01, 15:28: reassign 587575 yum, urlgrabber Hi, What's that, and how could I fix? (Sorry, I should have Cc-ed you when reassigning.) Apparently urlgrabber 3.9.1 broke yum badly, I'm not sure which package is at fault here. See http://bugs.debian.org/587575#5 for traceback. Do you think that upgrading to the latest version of yum (which, the last time I saw, is 3.2.26) would fix the issue? Is Fedora 13 running python 2.6? And what version of yum? No idea here, sorry. -- Jakub Wilk signature.asc Description: Digital signature
