is there any update on this issue (and on 626800 too) ? do you need
sponsoring? Please note we need a quick fix for them, since this
package is blocking the python transition.

Should be fixed by

which is in 0.0.57.

This still failed to build though due to a test failing, worked around
in a kind of lazy way in

which is in 0.0.58.
