Hi guys,

The Linux kernel build rules were fixed in Linux 2.6.36 and 2.6.32.21.
So this would only affect rebuilding the kernel in oldstable, and mixing
oldstable with unstable is not supported anyway.
However, I would guess there are many other makefiles which can be
broken by the stricter behaviour of make. So I think that make 3.82
will have to wait until after wheezy. But if someone can do an
archive-wide rebuild with the new version now, that would allow
maintainers to start preparing.
Any news regards this?
I'd love to have make 3.82, it fixes a few issues that I'm having, but
nvidia-kernel-dkms prevent me from upgrading. :-(
Thanks!
