Bug#749698: libmusicbrainz5 / bug 749698
Hi Andy, Timo, This is a release critical bug: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=749698 Do you know if it is completely fixed upstream? Is this version of libmusicbrainz5 suitable for the jessie release or are you aware of any other potential RC bugs that should also be corrected at the same time? There is a pull request waiting to be merged at https://github.com/metabrainz/libmusicbrainz/pull/4 Unfortunately a proper fix for this issue needs a SONAME bump since the offending XML code is exposed via constructors to the public ABI. There is a pull request available for upstream. I haven't got round to adding it because it needs an SOVERSION bump, so should probably make this libmb5.1.0 to reflect this. Comments appreciated. Thanks for the feedback. I notified the release team about this on #debian-release In theory, library transitions should have been completed before the freeze but they will look at the implications of this issue and potential solutions. -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Icedove - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJUYnZUAAoJEGxlgOd711bEFzQQANMJahXmu0lY5Aqtn4PBz4JX UIJVYft9joibU+Q8kxG5KVpu0As3YKHQYZ89X2DuT2zeGYzCYhxJ6ecMtwKHNUff odDiTX5GzqpfqcUuYt0OBW19Fb5kaW9xXvNjPEpbvnn6Dw3MCXcxODj9widIEmAG JYD5hXN0VPmjTZxJA5v4w/zj+0ZtMQ8UjHDlKBJ10xbpODefBsr67zvuXwLEdm6b 82HL6PcIwRgXHU1GCZWXeca9MNcnLU/+insBdopRwCXhS+AgHkkVcE3HqXQRSjWz WB0lEYDLpjs9s2RJ9Sg7CF6FfFzqRlwo6i1Fc+XCKxOPNk/gd9JGsK/lBEO1+btF ZV02wEBZO1F+WTbE/akBq9BQtfpvOjof6kkwBdgodzp19mhSFUVG/11x31eOAkku m20V8aaDDXMRoCMRpDhL2nbmc/cP3InpOgTrw+wK1Le9C8qAPIpACH8xZtFjo+nU DHZIGglK9R37gEHDxtm2eNB+sw+yl+IVnZMJ1p90EbaWAYNVcz+6Q2YXn5jWx6lR Pz1UBAVRA+mI9OydPvThl8FBCIaHT09LFloRQkmb4jTW/1wTHGME7POU5/dSonm4 tsswXVkb8wlaTO6048Zl/3IKTxrslE0kc3TOhJIBR/AQ9CUQczv7O5WFzLZPH4pQ DVIhQGSxgiGD+vP5BJLE =AQp/ -END PGP SIGNATURE- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
