2020-12-22 Thread Julio C. Ortega
Package: gir1.2-cmenu-3.0
Followup-For: Bug #977890

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

Upgraded libcinnamon-menu-3-0 and gir1.2-cmenu-3.0 4.6.1-1->4.8.2-2 and
cinnamon-l10n from 4.6.2-1->4.8.2-2

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

Launching any application from menus, panel or link leds to segfault, this
doesn't happen if the application is explicitly launched from the cinnamon
quick launch prompt (alt+f2)

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Cinnamon crash and prompt to restart in safe mode

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

Normal application Launch

2020-12-22 Thread Jeffrey Ratcliffe
Package: libcinnamon-menu-3-0
Version: 4.8.2-2
Severity: grave

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

Upgraded libcinnamon-menu-3-0 and gir1.2-cmenu-3.0 4.6.1-1->4.8.2-2 and
cinnamon-l10n from 4.6.2-1->4.8.2-2

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

Tried to launch any application from the menus or panel launcher buttons.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

cinnamon segfaulted with casting error, I assume because not all of cinnamon
upgraded.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

That cinnamon launched the applications with no problem
