it looks like a typo to me

 2.0.36, 2.2.17, 2.2.19, 2.4.2

Yeah, sure this was a typo :)
Sorry folks, I was in a hurry and probably hit the keys faster than my
brain was working - need a CPU upgrade probably ;-)

i am not sure why one would want 2.0.36 or 2.2.17 on cd1.. i would
have put them on cd3, but that's just my opinion. from what anne
originally said though, 10 kernels is certainly getting out of hand
(and disk space) in a release sense.

Yes. Usually I can't think of any reason to have the kernel sources
of any version other than the installation kernel on the first CD.
My idea was that not too many kernel source trees should be on the
distribution CDs at all since they are just taking space and there
won't be many people using them.

cd label

2001-04-23 Thread Will Holcomb

I worked up a cd label for the 2.2rev2 discs and put it on the web at:

http://odin.himinbi.org/covers/index.html

I think they look kinda nice. This is the first time I have ever really
made a graphic and certainly the first time I have ever told anyone else
about what I have done. =) I recognized as I was reading the FAQ looking
for the address to mail this announcement to that I didn't quite follow
the standard naming procedure (these are missing the GNU/Linux) and if you
want me to add them then I will. (I notice this is a listserv and I am
talking to about 600 people according to the usage statistics, so I use
the you loosely.) =)
