testing firmware image out of date

2010-03-09 Thread Joey Hess
The firmware bundle at
http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unofficial/non-free/firmware/testing/current/
contains firmware files from lenny.

  inflating: atmel-firmware_1.3-4_all.deb
  inflating: firmware-bnx2_0.14+lenny2_all.deb
  inflating: firmware-bnx2x_0.14+lenny2_all.deb
  inflating: firmware-ipw2x00_0.14+lenny2_all.deb
  inflating: firmware-iwlwifi_0.14+lenny2_all.deb
  inflating: firmware-qlogic_0.14+lenny2_all.deb
  inflating: firmware-ralink_0.14+lenny2_all.deb
  inflating: ixp4xx-microcode_2.4-2_armel.deb
  inflating: libertas-firmware_5.110.22.p14-1_all.deb
  inflating: zd1211-firmware_2.21.0.0-0.1_all.deb

I'm fairly sure that testing did not have such old versions of when
the file was built in February, so is it building against stable?

No, the build is correct. Just the symlink for testing needed updating from
lenny to squeeze.

Done.

any chance of automating that symlink?

I'd expect this has prevented wifi from working during install for many
users.
