Because packages using XS-Vcs-Browse are easy to catch, you can just
look at the Sources file and filter on 'Vcs-Browse'. Since the

requires unpacking all the source packages.

BUT! you may be interested in the following packages, which use
XS-X-Vcs-* headers and are also easy to catch:

So, these should now use Vsc-*: fields ?

For shadow, we have now:

So, we should use:

Putting the pkg-fonts team in the loop, since it might be interested in
 taking care of these ones.

ttf-thryomanes probably appears here because it is listed in a few
l10n tasks:

cyrillic-desktop: ttf-thryomanes
greek-desktop: ttf-thryomanes
hungarian-desktop: ttf-thryomanes

Description: A Unicode font covering Latin, Greek, Cyrillic and IPA
Thryomanes is a TrueType Unicode font (with bold, italic and bold-italic
variations). It covers the Latin and IPA sections of Unicode 3.0, and most of
the Greek (including Polytonic Greek) and Cyrillic sections.

So, the choice becomes:

- keep this font listed in (some of) these tasks. Then it needs to be
  maintained by
  - someone willing to do so
  - the pkg-fonts-devel team
- remove this font from all tasks and then either:
  - drop the package
  - keep it is someone volunteers to maintain it

IMHO, even if I did not check this, the ttf-dejavu font(s) cover these
languages pretty well. So, the font is maybe not very much relevant
for being installed by default.

On the other hand, the package has few bugs (4) and should be very
easy to maintain. Upstream seems inactive (no release since 2000-2001).

However, I'll request its removal now. ttf-dejavue is really enough,

  Programming Lang: Java
Description : java library to parse html

HTML Parser is a Java library used to parse HTML in either a linear
or nested fashion. Primarily used for transformation or extraction,
it features filters, visitors, custom tags and easy to use
 JavaBeans.

The two fundamental use-cases that are handled by the parser are
extraction and transformation (the syntheses use-case, where HTML
pages are created from scratch, is better handled by other tools
closer to the source of data).

In general, to use the HTMLParser you will need to be able to write
code in the Java programming language. Although some example programs
are provided that may be useful as they stand, it's more than likely
you will need (or want) to create your own programs or modify the
ones provided to match your intended application.

Packages shipping gconf schemas/defaults but without a strong dependency

2007-11-01 Thread Josselin Mouette
Hi,

as I have noticed a few rants in bug reports about packages depending on
gconf2 while their GConf related functionality is optional, I have tried
to improve the situation a bit.

As of gconf2 2.20.1-1, the package now registers schemas and defaults
that have not yet been registered before. Which means you should be able
to safely drop the dependency on gconf2 *if the functionality is
optional*. This only concerns a small number of packages and involves
dropping ${misc:Depends}, but I thought some of you should be
interested.

Cheers,

Reading the wiki page above, there is some functionality not present in

glibc 2.7

2007-11-01 Thread Adeodato Simó
Hello.

This morning glibc 2.7-0exp5 was accidentally uploaded to unstable
instead of experimental. This was quickly brought up on #debian-release,
and a short discussion followed where it was decided how to proceed.

The upload per se was not so bad, since glibc 2.7 is in quite good shape
for unstable, but the release team really wanted to avoid at all costs a
libc6 shlib bump in unstable *right now* (due to pending transitions),
and the glibc maintainers really wanted to avoid an epoch, so it was
decided to quickly upload to unstable a 2.7-0exp6 that would purposely
FTBFS, so that the source would be in unstable, but no binaries would be
available, effectively preventing building against 2.7. (*)

When the current set of pending transitions clears up, a normal upload
of glibc 2.7 will follow to unstable. We expect it to take approximately
a week.

That's all.

(*) This was possible because 2.7-0exp6 was uploaded without including
arch:any binaries, only arch:all. Such uploads are uploaded are
allowed by dak. Otherwise binaries would exist for one architecture.

Plumi is a Free Software video sharing Content Management System based on
 Plone

A look trough the install howto of Plumi raised the impression in me,
that you'll have to add some kind of support for installing config and
other files into an existing instance to dzhandle Do you have any
ideas on how to handle that?

Cheers,

Bernd

Source: gnome-btdownload
Binary: gnome-btdownload
Architecture: source all
Version: 0.0.29-2

Maintainer: Gerardo Curiel [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Changed-By: Andrea Veri [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Description:
gnome-btdownload - Gnome interface for 'executing' BitTorrent files
Closes: 407753
Changes:
 gnome-btdownload (0.0.29-2) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * gnome-btdownload.menu:
 - Adding (finally) a new menu entry that will magically
appear inside Debian/Applications/Net Menu. (Closes: #407753)
   * debian/rules:
 - added a run to intltoolize to prevent a FTBFS when building the
package after a re-run of any autotools.(aclocal, auto*)
 - added cdbs includes for autotools and dpatch support.
 - added a link, using dh_link, that will fix an odd error
when launching gnome-btdownload after changing the icon dir
from the default destination dir to /usr/share/pixmaps. The link
will work-around the error making gnome-btdownload happy again.
 - removing simple-patchsys cdbs include, it's not needed and cause
some problems at clean run. Will use dpatch support from now on.
   * debian/control:
 - added dpatch B-D supporting the inclusion of a new patch.
   * debian/patches:
 - added 01_desktop-file_cleanup patch that will make the .desktop
file freedesktop compliant with some other minor fixes to adjust
it to the new icon's destination dir moved to /usr/share/pixmaps.
   * configure.ac:
 - added AC_SUBST([MKDIR_P]) to prevent a FTBFS when building the package
   after an autotools run.
   * share/Makefile.am:
 - hacked a bit fixing the path to the gnome-btdownload icon, now
points correctly to the right policy dir.

   * Fix menu files for epiphany-webkit and epiphany-gecko (Closes: #444066).
 .
   [ Josselin Mouette ]

Gecko in the webkit version's about dialog. Also fix translations
 accordingly. Closes: #444999.
   * 14_webkit-scrollbars.patch: stolen from SVN. Implement size_request
for EphyTab, getting scrollbars to work for the webkit engine.
 Closes: #444044.

Closes: 440217 443210 446346
Changes:
 exim4 (4.68-2) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   [ Marc Haber ]
   * Fix changelog: lowuid router does not close #420217. Closes: #440217
 .
   [ Andreas Metzler ]
   * Mention /etc/exim4/exim4.conf in FILES section of update-exim4.conf.8.
   * Fix syntax error in real-local router. Closes: #446346
   * Configuring exim as configtype=internet host asks a different set of
questions than e.g. satellite. However some of the settings controlled by
these hidden questions still have effects on exim's behavior. Change
exim4-config to ask these hidden questions if they have been set to a
non-default value. (Either manually, or by switching configtype after
 setting the values.) Closes: #443210
These questions have been added conditionally:
 - internet site with smarthost:
   + dc_relay_domains
 - satellite
   + dc_relay_domains
   + dc_localdelivery

   * No longer depends on any external Boost library modules.
 And there was much rejoicing.
   * Ensure sqlite I/O code sees a prototype for pread/pwrite, and make
it enable large file support correctly. This is believed to be
the cause of the multi-platform FTBFS, but has only been confirmed
to be so on powerpc. Please file new FTBFS bugs for any remaining
architectures that are broken. (Closes: #439584)
