2022-04-08 Thread Carsten Schoenert
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Carsten Schoenert
X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-devel@lists.debian.org

* Package name: pytkdocs
  Version : 0.16.1
  Upstream Author : Timothée Mazzucotelli
* URL : https://github.com/mkdocstrings/pytkdocs
* License : ISC
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : Load Python objects documentation

 This Python library is used to load Python objects documentation. It accepts
 JSON on standard input and writes JSON on standard output.
 .
 It is typically used to read data from standard input while writing
 processed data line by line. Especially mkdocstrings is wanting this
 behavior.

This package is a new indirect dependency for the recent released minor
version of NetBox 3.2.x.

It will be maintained within the Debian Python Team.

Hm,...

# apt-file search -x ^/usr/lib/systemd/system/ | wc -l
122

I get the attached list of 65 source packages which install files into
/usr/lib/systemd/system.

I would have assumed that this would be done when bug 993316 was closed.

There is no mechanism to automatically rebuild affected packages when a
bug in debhelper was fixed, or in any similar cases.

Hi,

I just uploaded rpcbind_1.2.6-3[1], which is rebuilt using the latest
debhelper version.

For future situations like this, I encorage you to fill a bug
against the affected package. Posting it in a mailing list
with such a heavy traffic without copying the maintainer could
make slower the fix.

Cheers,

I would have assumed that this would be done when bug 993316 was closed.
Or should I open a new bug against rpcbind to ask for a rebuild?

rebuild of rpcbind (and other packages?) due to old debhelper bug 993316

2022-04-08 Thread Vincent Lefevre
Hi,

Due to the old bug 993316 in debhelper[*], rpcbind is still buggy as
it hasn't been rebuilt yet: rpcbind_1.2.6-2_amd64.deb contains

-rw-r--r-- root/root   626 2021-08-17 17:31:36
./usr/lib/systemd/system/rpcbind.service
-rw-r--r-- root/root   325 2021-08-17 17:31:36
./usr/lib/systemd/system/rpcbind.socket
lrwxrwxrwx root/root 0 2021-08-17 17:31:36
./lib/systemd/system/portmap.service -> rpcbind.service

thus with a dangling symlink, while this should be

/lib/systemd/system/rpcbind.service
/lib/systemd/system/rpcbind.socket
/lib/systemd/system/portmap.service -> rpcbind.service

i.e. without the "/usr".

Bug 993316 was fixed on 23 September 2021. Any reason why rpcbind
hasn't been rebuilt yet?

I don't know whether there are other affected packages.
