Bug#505570: [RFA]: grisbi -- Personal finance manager
Package: wnpp Severity: normal This is a request for adoption to maintain Grisbi. I do not have time anymore to work on it. Stéphane Glondu and Roberto C. Sánchez seemed interested in maintaining it. I hereby request for whoever has time and motivation to adopt Grisbi in Debian as I know work upstream on it. As I said by private mail to Thomas, we are to release a new upstream version of Grisbi with support for both versions of libofx. So I can upload a new version at any time with either version enabled. After this several hundred posts thread, I still fail to see which demonstrable harm such a silly and innocent package would do. Oh, well, except unproved FUDs like "it might not be distributable in foo" or "it might offend people". If people are offended by 1 out of 1 packages, so they are not obliged to install it. Bug#223781: [RFA]: usemod-wiki -- Perl-based Wiki clone
Package: wnpp Severity: normal I no longer use usemod-wiki and thus have no time to maintain it. Package is in good shape, no serious bugs. Very few work is needed to maintain it as release cycle is quite long. The only one todo item is to package version 1.0, which requires some changes to the wiki database. Peter Gervai <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> has already made a package for this and is going to NMU usemod-wiki. But as he does not have time to adopt it, we need a new maintainer. I can provide my CVS repository for usemod-wiki upon request. Not all software has a detailed changelog. Most of the time, changelogs simply state "add feature foo" or "various bugfixes". You cannot ask upstream authors to refer to debian bug numbers in their changelogs (one of mine does that, but he's neat), nor do describe all bugs they close. Moreover, this allow users to browse the BTS to seek for more information in case they see a description of the fix looking like a problem they encounter.
