De quem sempre te amou.!

2010-03-26 Thread margarida-ford

mãos delicadas e macias. O amor é em si resumido em uma só palavra;
você. Eternamente você!

Re: Good communication with upstream is good idea

2008-07-20 Thread Caroline Ford
2008/7/20 Florian Weimer [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
 * Osamu Aoki:

I found some of my packages are offered as a part of Ubuntu archive.

Same here. In my case (debsecan), it's a bit irresponsible because the
package doesn't really work on Ubuntu--but it's not readily apparent to
potential users. Furthermore, it uses server resources provided to
 Debian, and not to Ubuntu.

What's the correct way to get it out of Unbuntu (universe)? I don't
want to relicense it, but if asking politely does not work, it seems to
 be my only choice.

Packages are automatically synced from Debian as part of the
development process, if a package doesn't want to be in Ubuntu then as
far as I know there needs to be a manual override set up.

Relicensing your software to stop other people redistributing seems
like overkill to be honest, and no doubt would cause your package to
break the Debian Free Software Guidelines. You can't release under a
free license and keep 100% control over redistribution!

Caroline

Seattle Area Debian Gnomes

2006-11-10 Thread Paul Ford, O'Neil
Hello Debian OS,

I live in Everett, 25 miles North of Seattle and am looking for a Debian Gnome
to provide me with a hard copy of Debian to operate on two boxes:

1.) Dell Inspiron [2001]

1.0 Ghrz Processor
256 Meg RAM
4 Gig Hardrive

2.) PC

700 Mghrz Processor
256 Meg RAM
10 Gig Hardrive

I have a copy of Free BSD 4.5 [Feb 2002]; so I'd like to acquire the most
compatible version of Debian to operate on these computers with Windows 98 XP
and Free BSD 4.5.

Finally, I need to implement a non Microsoft OS and secure [encrypted] internet
environment with half a dozen PC's and MACs by Q-1 of 2007.

The hardware requirements would be similar to the boxes I noted above plus
several MAC Power PC's that I'd like to work into the equation if practical.
Can Debian 'cooperate' within this environment?

If so, please ask your Seattle area contact to call me at their convenience to
discuss this mater further.

Kindest regards,
Paul Ford O'Neil

Intent to Package: Selection of Perl/Tk Net Utils

I have packaged my selection of Perl/Tk network utils, from:

   http://www.whirlnet.co.uk/linux/

All are under GPL.

I've had a package of these sitting around since June, waiting for
new-maintainer to re-open, but now I've become fed up of waiting and
this is being sponsored by Edward Betts [EMAIL PROTECTED]
