Looking at the above from Cloud Team member perspective I'd like to see this done. I also know that JEB was suggesting something similar some time ago. I don't think that any of the Cloud Team members or DDs would be against this solution, but if they would is it should be know, that's why cross post to debian-cloud (sorry for this) so people can vice their opinion. At this point in time I'm not capable of helping with backends but I could help with integrating db.d.o with our AWS account (I'm one of the admins) however we'll choose to do it. From experience I also know that not too many non DD or DMs are having access to those (AWS,GCP) accounts. So focusing on those 2 groups should be sufficient for start. -- |_|0|_| | |_|_|0| "Panta rei" | |0|0|0| kuLa | gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys 0x686930DD58C338B3 3DF1 A4DF C732 4688 38BC F121 6869 30DD 58C3 38B3 signature.asc Description: PGP signature

Uploading existing source but with different size
Hi all, I have a package (libpqxx) where I was using my own repack script for quite a long time. Now I want to upload new (Debian) version of it with existing (in the archive) upstream version but fixing some issues including reproducibility, etc. and using **File-Excluded** instead my repack script. Unfortunately there is difference in size for *.orig.tar.gz between what's in the archive and what's updated package produces thus upload fails. I'm not sure why this difference occurs (it's 27 bytes). Any ideas how can I sort this out? -- |_|0|_| | |_|_|0| "Panta rei" | |0|0|0| kuLa | gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys 0x686930DD58C338B3 3DF1 A4DF C732 4688 38BC F121 6869 30DD 58C3 38B3 signature.asc Description: PGP signature

It's not going to be called 'Official Debian' but something similar, probably something like 'Official Debian Image for Azure' (or whatever cloud provider you want to have in this place) 2. To achieve 1 we need to specify set of tests which image will have to pass to be called as the above. 3. Cloud provider if want to certify our image probably (according to MS guys for sure) will want to run some test on their own but for us (Debian) to accept that and to give Debian name to it, they will be obliged to publish those tests (ideally as deb packages) for public/community scrutiny and eventual testing if one wish to do so. So now we're in the point when we have to specify what tests should run, so we as a Debian could rubber stamp it as Debian 'certified'. In particular, given that /etc/init.d/* scripts are typically conffiles, we could easily detect if they've been directly changed, and if so, warn about edits (with a list of edited files) and point to information on applying those changes to the corresponding systemd services. What about cases when init scripts doesn't come from any package but are crafted by hand? Those can not be easily detected and compared for changes, as they are not coming from any package and they may (and in some cases are) quite important for boot process. -- |_|0|_| | |_|_|0| Heghlu'Meh QaQ jajVam | |0|0|0| kuLa - | gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys 0x58C338B3 3DF1 A4DF C732 4688 38BC F121 6869 30DD 58C3 38B3 signature.asc Description: Digital signature
