Ironically: Package: snmpd Description: NET SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) Agents. The NET SNMP agent allows remote monitoring of various network and system information. There are a couple of other services that use the same code base, and a couple other livejournal clients already in Debian (I tend to use logjam, for example, which has a somewhat similar package description).
