Perhaps, but it may be indicative of a larger problem.

Try apt-get install locales --reinstall

BTW, to eliminate these particular warnings, either reset your locale
variables or dpkg-reconfigure locales and select the Spanish locates to be
generated.

There was no line like "Can't ignore signal CHLD, forcing to default"?  I
see it happen below when perl is invoked; I would expect it to be here as
well.  did you run perl in the same shell where you ran apt, or a different
one?  If so, what was the difference?
