AFAIK, the php aspell extension requires a ridiculously old version of aspell, so it doesn't make sense to package it at all... -- Society is never going to make any progress until we all learn to pretend to like each other. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#326173: RFH: php-pspell
Package: wnpp Severity: normal Hi people, there was three request to enable *spell extensions in php4/5 packages. Currently nobody from PHP maintainers team wants to add more burden on his shoulders, hence I request help from our fellow debian developers to package pspell and aspell extensions as separate packages using php4-dev and php5-dev. It should be easy to do so. If you want to help please contact us on [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailling list. (Even sponsored packages would be welcomed). Applying maintainer need to be willing not only to package&forget, but to keep track of bugs, solve problems with users and communicate with upstream (ie. strong nerves).
