We already packaged xmms-pulse as part of pkg-pulseaudio. But never uploaded it for exactly this reason. It doesn't seem very usefull to upload it just so it can be removed a few months later. You can find our packaging at http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-pulseaudio/xmms-pulse/ Ofcourse always feel free to join pkg-pulseaudio if you want to package/maintain pulse related things :)..
