 I imagine the binary package will be called python{,3}-cryptography.
 Haven't got to this step yet.

Wouldn't it be better to also have the source package name in the python-
namespace? Its using a dictionary word for the name, this is going to
cause colisions sooner or later...

Bug#757980: ITP: cryptography -- cryptography is a package which provides cryptographic recipes and primitives to Python developers.

2014-08-12 Thread Brian May
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Brian May b...@debian.org

* Package name: cryptography
  Version : 0.5.3
  Upstream Author : Various
* URL : https://cryptography.io/en/latest/
* License : Apache License
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : cryptography is a package which provides cryptographic
recipes and primitives to Python developers.

cryptography is a Python library which exposes cryptographic recipes and
primitives. Our goal is for it to be your “cryptographic standard
library”

This appears to be required by the latest pyopenssl
(http://bugs.debian.org/751144).

Will be uploading this as a python-modules-team maintained package.

I imagine the binary package will be called python{,3}-cryptography.
Haven't got to this step yet.
