I talked to him on IRC for the first time in 6 months about a month
ago. He said he had moved and has not had Internet access for the past
3 months. Apparently it's not a priority for him at this point.

Jared has been without Internet access for several months now.

Any of his packages I'm sure could be taken over on a permanent basis by
someone else. If someone absolutely needs to get in touch with him, a
message can be forwarded to me, and I'll pass it to him in person, or you
can reach him by phone at [deleted -- jgoerzen].

I know both the owner of futureks.net and (a bit) Jared. I'll do some
digging and let you know.

Yes. Myself, Bas Zoetekouw <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and Alex de Landgraaf
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> have been working on the packages. We are waiting
for the mozilla 1.2.1 release before uploading galeon 1.2.7.

You might also like to try the galeon 1.3 from the galeon-snapshot
package (updated weekly, when possible). This is the gtk2 rewrite of
galeon, which is now getting quite stable.

Hey everyone,
Can anyone else shed light on fate of Jared "Solomon" Johnson:
International DD of Mystery?

Thanks in advanced,

I have not heard from him for months now. The only address of him i
remember is <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, unfortunately.
I'll check my mail archives tonight.

Why has his key been revoked? (Probably because he knew he loses the
mail address?)

He used to sit on IRC in OPN, #debian-devel, nick solomon and/or
solomonwo, but he hasn't been there recently.

No, i already suggested that the package is orphaned. I don't have time
to further maintain galeon (neither my other packages)

I had been talking to solomon when i started doing the NMUs; he was very
happy by then. I then had to reduce the time i can spend on galeon
(that's why i didn't take over galeon completely by then), but he told
me that he was going to have more free time to spend on galeon soon.
Then he disappeared... I think the last-seen date in db.debian.org
closely matches the time i last saw him, too.

But there have been three people willing to take over maintainance.
(and they've been updating galeon-snapshot recently)
I think they might already have an updated galeon package ready, and
just want to wait for mozilla 1.2.1 (you know the rumors, i guess)

You might just want to ask on debian-devel.

Greetings,
Erich
