Yes, that is my initial thought. There are a few things I want to look
at, including Fluendo. the only thing that bugs me is that I was
hoping I could get the source for Fluendo, and I couldn't...

I'll get in touch with them, and report back.

 I am keen on organizing the video capture and digitizing for the 
 conference. I can't, unfortunately, provide the gear, but I can prepare 
 the software and config stuff, and arrive a few days early to set things 
 up.
