I'd like to plan one in Seattle or the surrounding area.

If you're in the area and interested, just join the relatively new and
very low traffic Debian Seattle Social email list. There's info online
at: http://lists.yukidoke.org/mailman/listinfo/debian-seattle-soc

Hey,

Do you want to hold a small party in IOI? Although the Hong Kong
team of IOI have not been selected yet, I hope there will have some
debian user(s) there to have the party with you.

At that time I'm doing my social service ("Zivildienst") in Cologne and
there might be a possibility to get facilities there, but I believe it's
too far in the west of Germany to be "in the middle"...

Well, it coincides with the first day of the international olympiad in
informatics, so with all the computer geeks around I'm hoping there will
be someone else there to celebrate with. :)

Ben.

I hope to get a party somewhere in middle Germany, similar but larger
than last year's party. However, there's nobody planning on details
yet. If you have a party facility[1] nearby would you mind checking
it out?

Joey

[1] Sleeping space included for sleeping bags at least, some kitchen
facility, some washing (showering?) facility, some barbecue facility,
enough space indoor and outdoor, not too difficult to reach (i.e.
an island would be nice but too far away for most of us)

There has also been talk of a get-together in Melbourne, Australia on
the Debian-melb list. Looks like Martin will be back just in time for
it :-)

Stewart Smith (VP of Linux Australia, the org that runs LCA) suggested
synchronising events in multiple venues, which could have the effect of
attracting some media attention to it.

A global multi-venue party sounds pretty cool to me :-)

Cheers

Debian JP Project, consists of Debian developers/users in Japan, are
planning 'Debian 10th anniversary party' at Tokyo on Aug 15 midnight.

We'll send a article about this party to DWN when our Web page and
programs are ready.

Thanks,
