One of the things with d-d-a is that it's not a list where you want to
have people deleting the majority (or even a large proportion) of the
messages posted unread since that's likely to colour the way people
respond to the rest of the messags.

I suggest using a bigger mailbox for your d-d-a subscription if one
mail a week is considering «flooding». Even when said mail is 4500
lines long.

Feel free to help get the RC bug count under control so that there's no
need to blast the list to people as a reminder.

I do too, and I thing d-d-a is the right place for such mails.

Let's direct [EMAIL PROTECTED] to /dev/null. No more bugs.

To the OP: sure, 1 mail/week can be called a "flood". If you can't
handle 1 mail/week on a mailing-list ... you'd better go do something
else.

So where would you like to go it to? /dev/null ?

I think having this mailing once per week is quite okay, as it gives us
an overview on how many bugs are still open. As this is part of our
quality assurance, and i think anyone should do a minimum of quality
assurance, i would not like to get this mailing switched off.

As already said, if you don't like them, use a filter like procmail to
filter them away.

Greetings
Martin

By contrast, I do, although I wouldn't object to receiving them from a
different list (maybe just plain -devel).

I don't like these reports. They should be available at the web only. Could
anybody turn off the mailing? I would like to see the
