I'd prefer if the conversation stayed here. It's not like you are
literaly spamflooding the mailing list. But the project is interesting
enough and you are keeping it under the same thread/subject, so I (and
many others) can ignore it if we want...

My 2 cents,

Yes, I follow your work. Nice!

It was good that you introduced your project here on the d-devel@ list,
but I suspect no all 2500 subscribers want to follow closely your
detailed progress going forward.

I therefore suggest to move conversations away from d-devel to somewhere
else.

If you make a release to Debian experimental, that somewhere else can be
the Debian bugtracker. Whatever platform you choose, I recommend to
simply mention in in the README.md for your project (no need to announce
it here, the project git is already published).

Kind regards, and good luck with your project,

 - Jonas

The salsa project now generates a package which pulls in at least some
of its dependencies, has scripts for a bit of postfix configuration,
including generating a DKIM DNS record, and for one DNS provider
installing it into DNS, and configuring Postfix and OpenDKIM to use it.

If the DNS provider is 'none' in /etc/sos/sos.conf then there is a web
page to access pending DNS items which need to be set up.

There is still a lot to be done, but progress is being made.

Best wishes

John

Much of the code, which is essentially a set of configuration options
is on my test system at present, but I am cleaning it up and migrating
it to
https://salsa.debian.org/jlines/smallorganisationserver

On salsa at present is the start of a framework,

The actual steps I took to get to where the system is had many stages
of going in circles, I now intend to script the installation, so far
and put that onto salsa

The intention is to be a Debian Pure Blend. I am aware that there is a
long way to go, but The Greatest Journey Starts with a Single Step.

Where is the code?

At the link you share above, I only essentially find "there is no step
by step guide."

If you seek input for something not developed withing Debian itself,
then that's perfectly fine and I wish you all the best for your project,
just please then call it a Debian Derivative and please use the various
user forums instead of this -devel list meant for developing Debian
itself.

A "Debian Pure Blend" is developed and maintained _in_ Debian.

A "Debian Blend" is done outside Debian, for later merging into Debian.

A "Debian Derivative" is based on Debian, i.e. maybe a Blend maybe not.

Kind regards,
