After some searching, I found it at:

 http://www.debian.org/Lists-Archives/debian-devel-announce-9901/msg00017.html

In the future, could somebody please put the ballot on the debian web
site in an obvious place (such as a link from the same page that

Well, it's on http://vote.debian.org, which is fairly obvious.

I also received information about the ballot on the following lists:

-private, -devel, -devel-announce and -vote.

That's not exactly hiding the information..

For sure. I was looking through www.debian.org but failed.
In my opinion it is necessary to set up an election page.
I have to state that I am not able to vote because I don't know
anybody of the candidates. The election page has to have links to
a page or pages from the candidates that a potentional elector has
a chance to get to know its favourite candidate. I'm sure all
of them are OK but how should I decide, who of them is better than
the other if I don't know them.

Sorry for leaving my vote and good luck for the future leader.

Kind regards

  Andreas.

Forget this garbage. I've found it. Sorry for this.

No, it actually isn't obvious, any more than www.debian.org/election
is obvious. A link from the Debian home page, or the developers page,
to vote.debian.org seems like a good idea.

By the way, http://www.vote.debian.org, under current events, states
that nominations for project leader are open. Perhaps this should be
changed to state that elections are in progress and almost over.

The site is/will be http://vote.debian.org
This still being build but if you need information, you can always try there,
first.

check http://www.debian.org/devel/ (that's the developer section that you'd get
to if you clicked on it from the main page). I think it's in the first column
first few lines down.

You're right.
