Seeing as I am maintaining e2compr, I'll take it, and merge the packages
as appropriate.

I agree.

Done with this mail.

Probably not. Last maintainer is Michael Nonweiler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>,
but he is looking for a new maintainer for e2fsprogs.

IMHO, bugs should not be closed because they are "obsolete", but because
they are fixed. In this case, by looking at the e2fsprogs changelog:

e2fsprogs (1.10-2) frozen unstable; urgency=low

  * Add 'ldconfig' to postinst (should fix #9020).
  * Define HAVE_NETINET_IN_H on alpha/glibc.

 -- Klee Dienes <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Tue, 29 Apr 1997 17:24:12 -0400

we can see that 1.06-3 did not have ldconfig in postinst yet, and this was
almost sure the reason for the bug.

In short: Yes, please, close the bug.

Thanks.

I just checked this bug. It refers to Version 1.06-3 of e2fsprogs, but
1.10-2 is the current version in "bo". Thus I consider this bug obsolete.
If noone objects, I'll close this bug.

I wouldn't like to see Debian 1.3 delayed further because of an obsolete
"critical" bug.

Anyways, e2fsprogs seams to have a lot of open bugs. Is this package
actively maintained?

Thanks,

Chris

A fixed version of j1 is sitting in ~moth on master.debian.org
and has been since last week.

When I uploaded it, Incoming was not writeable, so I uploaded
a copy to my home directory and sent email to Brian. As I
received no response to that email, I presume that I sent
it to an inactive address.
