There's a password check in imapd somewhere that has to be corrected to go
be shadow aware (at least that's what I was told). A simple getpwnam doesn't
have the password x in the structure.

I just scanned through the packages list to see which ones need to be
updated. Here's a list I found:

xdm Stephen Early [EMAIL PROTECTED]
xtrlock Stephen Early [EMAIL PROTECTED]
adduser Steve Phillips [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Also I'm not sure about the following:

netatalkKlee Dienes [EMAIL PROTECTED]
samba   Andrew Howell [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Needs update, though not part of the official distribution:

ssh Dominik Kubla [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Needs update, but I don't know how:

imapd   Dale Scheetz [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Are there more? I recommend the maintainers have a look at
ftp://ftp.icm.edu.pl//mnt/340/shadow/src for help.
