Sorry about that Petter :)Here's the PCI ID information (I think) you're looking for:00:0f.0 0100: 1077:2200 (rev 05)00:0f.0 SCSI storage controller: QLogic Corp. QLA2200 64-bit Fibre Channel Adapter (rev 05) I'm trying to create a bug report now, however if the package is discover-data, I'm unable to determine the version as it appears that my installation (debian-edu-etch-test-daily.iso from 20061109) doesn't have it: ltsp248:~# dpkg --list discover-dataNo packages found matching discover-data.Best Regards,MarkOn 11/11/06, Petter Reinholdtsen < [EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:[Mark Trimble]> Hope one of these are what you were asking for. Re: QLogic Support
Thanks Trond. I also have a MSA1500 laying around, so maybe I'll give that a try with an FC4 install.Incidentally, I've discovered that the qla2200 is detected and maintains a fibre connection without faults under Ubuntu. I haven't yet attempted to build and bind any volumes with it yet, but I'll let you know how this install turns out. I'm also going to give the Ubuntu qla2200.ko driver a try in Skole sarge and etch and see what happens.Best Regards,MarkOn 11/11/06, Trond Mæhlum <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Mark Trimble skrev:> I would like to get a SAN running under Skolelinux using a QLogic> qla2200 HBA, but have been unable to find the Debian qla2200.ko driver.> I was under the impression that the qla2200 was supported within etch. > Would anyone happen to know if/how the qla2200 can be made to work?We tried using Skolelinux connected to SAN, it was HP-MSA1500. We couldnever get qlogic to work so we tried an Emulex card instead. The results were miserable. The filesystem got corrupted all the time. We had /skole/tjener/home0 onSAN and it got remounted read-only several times a week.We dropped it, connected the SAN to a RHEL4 server and set that up as "homes" in DNS. It supports qlogic and is also supported by HP. Thingswork perfectly now.If you _do_ get qlogic and Debian to behave I would like to hear about it.Best RegardsTrond Maehlum > Regards,>> Mark--The leading causes of death in the United States are: 1. Hi Xavier, Xavier Oswald wrote: The two missing perl libraries in debian for cipux are in the NEW queue: - libauthen-simple-perl - libauthen-simple-pam-perl Good job thank you! If other libs are needed, feel free to ask me, I get a commit access on alioth in the pkg-perl repository and I'm now member of the perl team. ok, merci. No new Perl modules at the moment ... :) So we will be able to upload soon cipux into debian. Christian, what's the state of cipux, do you need help ? Yes. Could you use the SVN code and run linda and lintian on it and post the result here? Greetings Christian -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? You could also upload those two libs to debian-edu (well you need a sponsor...but I could do it - but then I wont do NEW (in -edu) for it), in case the cipux package is ready as well. This would allow us to faster test cipux. > So we will be able to upload soon cipux into debian. > Christian, what's the state of cipux, do you need help ? But uploading the perl libs to debian-edu only makes sense, if the cipux package is ready to be uploaded as well, otherwise uploading the perl libs to debian-edu is (mostly) a waste of time. So I'm curious about the state of the cipux package now. regards, Holger pgpaKjo4IizbH.pgp Description: PGP signature
