Which is A Good Thing(tm) in my opinion. So please go ahead and package this nice piece yourself, when you feel you can "carry the burden". Suggestion: File an ITP now, but declare in it that you are fine if others take over the packaging or working together in this or that team (or whatever you're fine with). Then when you are ready to actually do the work, you might discover that others took over - and you can then either join then or move on to other tasks. :-) Kind regards, Jonas (who is also too burdened with other packages at the moment) - -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist og Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ [x] quote me freely [ ] ask before reusing [ ] keep private -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkjHZ6QACgkQn7DbMsAkQLipbgCgjOxtJe88Sd5auypUQrRHFPIU /SwAn17P7DBZUrXveAJlrtcg2PmFzl9T =z1WC -END PGP SIGNATURE- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". java jfractionlab debian package
Hi, Im asking here if someone is interested in packaging jfractionlab[1] for debian. Im to busy right now to take another package and maintain it in a good way. Since it is related to education and as it is commonly used with debian-edu, it would be nice if someone could do the debian package. It could be maintain within the debian-edu or the debian-java team. If nobody is interested, I will put it in my TODO list and do the package ASAP but it will take some time... Im not opening an ITP neither a RFP but will do any of those if nobody is interested. [1] http://sourceforge.net/projects/jfractionlab Greetings, -- ,''`. Oh, please explain how binNMUing Gtk 1.x packages will automatically port them to Gtk2. I'm really, really interested. Could save a lot of work. Re: Duplicate library versions in Debian Edu/Lenny
[Petter Reinholdtsen] > libqt3-mt and libqt4-* Sune Vuorela asked me on IRC why libqt4 was installed by default in Debian Edu, and I tracked it down to the user applications qjackctl, stellarium and vym. Thought it best to mention it here too, in case others wonder. :) Happy hacking, -- Petter Reinholdtsen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Duplicate library versions in Debian Edu/Lenny
I had a look at a Lenny based installed Main-server + Thin-client-server, to see what libraries are installed with multiple versions. Converting packages using these libraries to use the latest version would save us some space on the CD, as well as save some minor memory at run time. libcap1 libcap2 libdb4.2 libdb4.5 libdb4.6 libgksu1.2-0 libgksu2-0 libgtk1.2 libgtk2.0-0 libgtk1.2-common libgtk-2.0-common liblua50 liblua5.1-0 libqt3-mt and libqt4-* I doubt we manage to do anything about this for Lenny, but we should keep it in mind for the next version to try to get more packages into the available CD and DVD space. :) CC to [EMAIL PROTECTED], in case they want to do anything about this by rescheduling binary NMU for the packages using the older version of the libraries.
