Demonstration and teaching tool
Hi folks, Our computer lab is entirely made up of debianEdu thin clients. We currently have 20 thin clients using older Panasonic Toughbooks. Im looking for a way a teacher can demonstrate something on his thin client and all students can observe on their thin clients what the teacher is actually doing in realtime. How is this done? Kind regards, Roman

Has squid something to do with this? I did more research and my guess appears to be right. Squid has cached the files. I installed the squid reporting module 'sarg' and it shows quite some activity during the rebuilding time of chroot. Here are my installation notes to get this working: apt-get update apt-get install sarg nano /etc/sarg/sarg.conf change output_dir to '/etc/debian-edu/www/squid-reports' change date_format to 'e' execute report with 'sarg x' Check report with browser https://www/squid-reports/ Kind regards, Roman

It converts some characters upon typing, e.g. ' becomes , etc. I hope this doesn't worry you too much. While xrdp supports it, we cannot build the required PulseAudio module in Debian because the PulseAudio devs do not export the required API. -nik
