Dear Onkar,

thank you very much.
In case you are interested in further educational Java software,
I have some minor projects queued.

Keywords for now (as I am short of time):
- JPrologEditor
- Java Stars (Results of a Competition: Pupils writing educational
  softwrae for schools in Java)

Kind regards
Ralf

I will try packaging this over weekend and commit whatever work I do
in pkg-java svn.

I have been added to pkg-java project recently and I am still working
on getting a package, that I updated in Ubuntu, adopted in Debian.
So once that is done I will have some confidence to work on this
package directly for Debian.

Hi, I built a package here:
http://skolelinux.de/~ralf/deb

But it lacks any sources - just a personal try to ease deployment.
Jochen (=upstream) plans to release a tidy package - currently he is
caring about a propper icon/logo.

Kind regards
Ralf

I guess there is lots of interest, but debian-edu has more
teaching-aware people than packagers. Which is A Good Thing(tm) in my
opinion.

So please go ahead and package this nice piece yourself, when you feel
you can "carry the burden".

Suggestion: File an ITP now, but declare in it that you are fine if
others take over the packaging or working together in this or that team
(or whatever you're fine with).

Then when you are ready to actually do the work, you might discover that
others took over - and you can then either join then or move on to other
tasks.

:-)

Kind regards,

Jonas

(who is also too burdened with other packages at the moment)

java jfractionlab debian package

2008-09-09 Thread Xavier Oswald
Hi,

Im asking here if someone is interested in packaging jfractionlab[1] for debian.

Im to busy right now to take another package and maintain it in a good way.

Since it is related to education and as it is commonly used with debian-edu, it
would be nice if someone could do the debian package.

It could be maintain within the debian-edu or the debian-java team.

If nobody is interested, I will put it in my TODO list and do the package ASAP
but it will take some time...

Im not opening an ITP neither a RFP but will do any of those if nobody is
interested.
