Problem with DNS - a refresh is necessary to the adress appear.

2000-04-11 Thread Helber

Hi all,

My users are having a small problem,
when they try to navigate to a new site, first they receive a
message saying that the site was not found,
when the user ask for a refresh in their browser the site is
solved.

It seams that the DNS is not solving the address in a first
request.
I have no Idea of what is happening.
I will apreciate If someone can give me a clue to
solvethis problem.

Thanx in advance,

Helber

Oh, and the boss says that we have a large proportion of 1,500 customers
of the relevant service whose scripts all date from perl4-only days and
if I want to phase out /bin/perl as perl4 then I can do it all by
 myself.

That's one way to end a discussion ;-)

You can't download it, you can order the media (for $75, which
gives you unlimited licenses on anything up to 8-way) at:

potato install from floppy

2000-04-11 Thread Allen Ahoffman
Hi:
I'm gettingthe following error while installing
using rescue.bin floppy on a celeron 433 with 128MB ram and 10 bg hard
drive
after entering normal default at boot prompt:
after root disk is inserted:
kmod: failed to execute /sbin/modprobe -s -k binfmt-464c,errno = 8
repeated 4 times
kernel panic: no init found. try passing init= option to kernel

Any ideas folks?

This is potato from the disks-i386 set.
hope we can make it work.

2000-04-11 Thread Allen Ahoffman
I used:
the disks-i386/image-1.44/rescue.bin and the
disks-i386/images-1.44/udma66 rescue.bin and root.bin
no different at this point
