well, I actually set up the smtp transport to another hostname on the same
machine but I still kept this error.. From your response I get this
feeling that it's actually possible to have a transport to the same
machine, how do I tackle the 'local hostname'-check then?

kind regards,

Just a suggestion - create localmail.mydomain.com to be 127.0.0.2 and then
forward the mail to this host ,and run something to listen there for the
internal mailer...

exim smarthost

2001-02-25 Thread Maurice Verhagen
Hello,

I tried it last week without success, so I try it again.

I want to set up some sort of smtp forwarding with exim.

this is the idea: exim as SMTP router for incoming and outgoing mail (to
the internet). exim also as router to another SMTP daemon on another port
(26) on the same machine, for internal use.

How do I set this up? smarthost is the magic word I guess, but on the web
I can't find much info on it.

I tried something with smtp transport but then I get an error message with
something like: "can't reroute because it's the same host"

I hope someone could help me with this

kind regards,
Maurice Verhagen

Compile apache-ssl

2001-02-25 Thread Grischa Schuering
Hello,

I need very much help.
I am running debian with apache-ssl and php installed via apt-get.
Now I need a additional module (called ZMod), which is not available by
itself and therfore needs to be compiled into the apache... So I need to
compile the apache.

What version do I need now, or how do I handle it carefully to use the
debian apt-get feature, which I rellay like...

Is it a problem to compile the software on debian, do still the apt
features work afterwards ?

What sources do i have to install ???
apache-sll, or apache with mod_ssl ???

Thanks,

Grischa Schuering

Take a look at www.xtradius.com...
With it you will be able to log and check whatever you want...
Some LDAP script are ready to use...

I aren't sure about Postgresql, but I know there is a patch to enable the
Cistron Radiusd to log to a MySQL database. There is a link on the cistron
radius website (I don't have the link handy, but a quick search on
freshmeat will find it)

Cheers,
