multiple IP addresses cause ZONE TRANSFER to fail.

2004-05-21 Thread Andrew P. Kaplan
My Debian box has two IP's running BIND 9. 209.113.151.5 and 209.113.151.7.
BIND is setup to listen on 209.113.151.7 and act as a slave server. However,
it makes the zone transfer from 209.113.151.5. The master server blocks
these request. Is there a way to make the request come from 209.113.151.7.

apt-get upgrade or .tgz

2004-03-03 Thread Andrew P. Kaplan
I have an old version of Postfix running on my Debian box. I don't remember
if I used apt-get or installed from a .tgz file. If I use apt-get install I
am concerned I could end up with two version of Postfix. What's the best way
to upgrade.

RE: webalizer stopped running

2002-07-30 Thread Andrew P. Kaplan
>>Tell us how and when webalizer is ran.

That's the problem I can't figure out what makes webalizer run. I see a
logrotate script at midnight. The webpages and .png files have current dates
and are being updated daily. So webalizer *must* be running. But the stats
displayed stop at july 23. If I display "daily_usage_200207.png" only data
up until july 23 is displayed.

webalizer stopped running

2002-07-27 Thread Andrew P. Kaplan
I having problem with webalizer since the ip address of my Apache server was
changed last week. Apache is rotating the logs, the logs have current dates.
But the website stats only show activity up to the day of OLD ip address. I
don't care if the last few days of July are lost. But I want August to start
correctly.

rsync not working

2002-07-02 Thread Andrew P. Kaplan
My rysnc (both boxes are Debian) stopped working when I moved the Master
server behind a firewall. I have opened up SSH and RSYNC. The firewall
doesn;t show any blocked activity. I run rsync on my client on my location
and get the following. Yet the listed files are not updated. The machine has
plenty of free space. Netstat shows an SSH connection to the master box
behind the firewall. Further done listed is my rsync script. What's missing.
I opened up the firewall completely and still has unable to rsync the boxes.
