I've been playing with that for a few days, some hints:
The clamav package is not in woody, you have to install both .debs (clamav &
amavis-postfix) from the unstable tree, it works, just read some docs and
play a little with the /etc/amavisd.conf file.
Anyway the oav database seems to be pretty outdated, at least the last time
I saw it...

IMHO if you don't use procmail, remove it from the postfix configuration.
If you want to test it, you can use the .forward file to see what is
going on.

A quick search on google gave me this:

I have the latest pureftpd installed from deb, all I did was
apt-get source pureftpd
get the latest sources from pureftpd.org
copy the debian directory from the "old" source
then debian/build && debian/binary
finally dpkg -i the resulting package(s)

I was thinking about mantaining the packages, but I think I'm
not skilled for that.

Although is not part of the Debian's maildrop, the Courier's maildrop has
support for ldap and quota support over it, I haven't enough time to give it
a try, but I think that it should be a good alternative.

There's a patch for postfix's virtual delivery agent, otherwise you can't
use quotas with maildirs .. ** I think so **

Not exactly, if you omit the LDAP_MAILDIR attr, authdaemon will assume
$HOME/Maildir.

I'm using this option

Does $HOME/Maildir belong to this UID/GID?

Why are you using uidNumber/gidNumber attributes? In that case
you should use LDAP_UID and LDAP_GID instead of the globals

(..)

You should try some sniffing to see the ldap auth working. I
use it to make my debugging. (ethereal rulez x))
