VLAN Capable NIC.
Hi all. I am using the 802.1q VLAN patches from http://scry.wanfear.com/~greear/vlan.html however I find that loads of CPU is being used inspecting every frame looking for 802.1q headers, does anyone know of any NIC's with hardware VLAN support and working drivers for linux? Re: IMAP/POP3 + Maildir
Hi all, What can people recommend as a POP3 server that works with Maildir? qmail :) It ships with a POP3 server that's one of the fastest and tightest out there :) Indeed, you could probably get away with using just it's pop3 server and keep your existing MTA :) Also cyrus. Re: network monitoring using graphs and status
MRTG was also not so suitable as it depends too strongly on traffic analyses and is incapable of showing e.g. three graphs in one picture and I like to have as much information on one HTML page. You want to look at RRDtool, which is written by the same guy that wrote MRTG, except it's much cooler and faster. It will also graph pretty much anything. http://ee-staff.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/rrdtool/ Cheers.
