Hello

Load the kernel modules for your network card.

# First make sure that it is loaded on next boot.
echo "your_modulename" >> /etc/modules
# Then load it now
modprobe "your_modulename"

your_modulename will probably be something like
eepro100
3c59x
ne
ne2k

or something.

run `modconf' and avtivate the driver for your NIC.

Installing "discover" means hardware like this will be automaticly detected. 

Alternatively (the manual way) you can put the module name in /etc/modules.

for that nic you want the ne2k-pci module.

with the compact flavour, and then I finished the instalation from the network, 
so the ethernet adapter was ok.
Then I installed the kernel 2.4.18 and when I 
reboot the network didn´t work any more.
What I have to do?
