problem with java - debian

2014-04-11 Thread mohamad . mostafa

Hi,

I am trying to install matlab under Linux and I am facing the
following message

"Preparing installation files ...
Installing ...
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
Could not create the Java virtual machine.
Finished"

Running "apt-cache depends default-jdk" yields

default-jdk
Depends: default-jre
Depends: openjdk-6-jdk

Something is definitely wrong with java. I have been trying for long
time to know what is wrong here, however I still could not solve the
problem.

Could you help me.

Best regards
Mohamad Mostafa
