kdeedu 3.1 packages
Hi! I started to work on bringing debian packaging of kdeedu up to date with cvs. I want to learn how to create packages for debian, and also want to have kdeedu installed. I'd like to ask the maintainer if he wants to incorporate my work into kde cvs or if he rather likes to do it himself. The (very preliminary and partially broken (there are undeclared dependencies at very least)) patch to package kverbos, kdeedu-libs and flashkard are in http://yenar.host.sk/download/kde-debian.tar.gz, in directory kde/patches-local/kdeedu/debian-1.diff. cheers yenar -- --- Yenar Calentaure mail: yenar(at)host.sk homepage: http://yenar.host.sk --- The universe is entering maintenance mode in 2 minutes. Fonts in KDE
Hello everybody. I use KDE version 2.2.2 (woody) and I have a problem with fonts. If I want to change a font from default all font settings change and I can't restore the previous situation (just by selecting a different point, I can always delete some of files in .kde directory or edit them). It has probably to do something with antialiasing. In the font selection dialog there is a posibility to disable (enable) antialiasing, but it doesn't make any difference.

Re: Open shell here in Konqueror, 4dos style
I've put a small Shell here Konqueror extension to the web, inspired by the 4dos Windows version: http://koti.welho.com/jelonen/code/kde-shellhere/ A small clarification, thanks to Thomas Jens: the extension differs from Konqueror's open terminal command (ctrl-T) in that you can right-click on a directory in which you want to open the shell. If there's no directory under the pointer, it works like ctrl-T. - Jarno
Konsole locks on Shift+Enter
Is anyone else having this problem? Sometimes when I am typing, I am slow to release the Shift key and hit Shift+Enter rather than enter. I am trying to determine wheather this is a bug in Konsole, or on my machine. Any help or an explanation would be great! Thanks! JE

File Manager - Super User Mode
Hello, If I try to run Konqueror as root while logged in as a normal user (same as clicking on File Manager - Super User Mode from the KDE menu) it crashes with this error: /tmp/mcop-cloverm is not owned by user. Of course not, because I just became root. If I chmod root.root /tmp/mcop-cloverm, it solves to problem, but than I can't run konqueror as the normal user any more. What gives?
