Sorry about being so late answering this. I was out on vacation. The packages aren't at upload queue. I just stated (IIRC), that I was on my way to make definitive packages for PyKDE 3.8. Last time Jim put stable packages was at PyQt 3.5 time, and since then, no other compatible with modern "sip" implementationes until PyKDE 3.7, which immediately got obsolete because of sip/PyQt 3.8, which introduced backward incompatibilities. So I then waited for PyKDE 3.8. I've been having problems with PyQt lately (Qt2 version), but now that I've solved them (I hope), I can focus again on PyKDE. You should expect packages for this weekend-next monday (at people.debian.org or experimental) and then an upload if anything goes wrong. Regards, Ricardo
spam problem because of this list....
hallo to everyone, one and a have week ago i noticed that someone wants to bomb me with spam (about 100 mails a day). because i can not stand this i changed two days ago all my e-mail adresses and yesterday i corrected them in the debian-kde, the debian-announce and the debian-news-german list. This evening i have received spam. i can not imagin why but the adress it was send to is [EMAIL PROTECTED] this is a adress i created 2 days ago an i only have told to the mailinglist html interface from this three debian lists above. in the last case, bevore i have changed all my adresses spam came as well in over the same adress which was in debian-kde etc. is it possible that the spam and this list have anything in common in my case or does anyone else have simmilar problems? i would be very pleased to have a solution for this because i want to read this lists but i do not want to changen my complete email setup 3 times a week. thank you in advance wolfgang
No system sound on KDE 3.1
Hello there. (and excuse my broken english) I have a peculiar problem. On my linux box, I have kde 3.1.4 from kde.org with a custom kernel 2.4.21 with alsa for a SB live. Sound work. I can use xmms, mplayer, and in the sound server panel, the test works very well. But I don't have any system sound. I had a look at the archives and found I can Install libarts1-audiofile. It's now done, but I still don't have system sound. The KDE_Startup.wav is perfectly played on "test the server" button but not If I do click the small play icon in system notification for kde startup. I tried to use an external app in config... in a console /usr/bin/wavp /usr/share/sounds/KDE_Startup.wav works very well but using /usr/bin/wavp as an external programm doesn't produce any sound for system notification. I'm puzzled. Any idea? (TIA for posting both to me and the list since I'm not a list subscriber). -- Debian powered computer

Problem with kmail Filter
Hello, I use Kmail 1.5.4 in kde 3.1.4 French and all the Pop Filter i configure does not work: My mail box is actually spammed with messages of 150 Ko and if i filter with size it does'nt work. Filter on subject or from does not work. Happily someone tell me about software "mailfilter" and it work fine. May i have help to configure filter on Kde. Thank you. Philou75
mouse config
hello, I have the feeling that my mouse is not configured optimal. I want to have a fast mouse so I can move quickly from one siede to the other. But if I set the mouse to have a high acceleration it is very inexact. It "jumps" over pixel that way that I can not allways can point on what I want (e.g. you want to change the size of a window you have to point exactly on the rim of the application) Is there a way to make my mouse fast and exact? kde 3.1.3 xfree 4.2.1 debian sid thank you - wolfgang

It looks as though you need to set a custom panel size to maximize the proportions of the icons to the kicker. You don't have to use the sizes of tiny, small, normal, and large. I myself use a size somewhat smaller than large because I don't like all the wasted space. Right-click on an empty spot on kicker, choose Configure Panel|Appearance. Then choose Enable icon zooming. how to get large icon on kicker
Hello People tell me how can i get normal large icon on kicker, now when my kicker is, for test, realny big ( 35 pic's ) icons are little and i need glasses for see them :), let's look at: http://213.216.90.1/pub/kicker.jpg I'd like to have little kicker, with icons i can see, but i can't mouse click it :) Thank for help.
