Only under some circunstances, like buying a ticket in a heavily javascript based website, requires me to have Firefox installed. If it were so useless, why KHTML is the choice of Apple and Nokia for their browsers, instead of Gecko? http://dot.kde.org/1118683407/ -- Alex (a.k.a. suy) - GPG ID 0x0B8B0BC2 http://darkshines.net/ - Jabber ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

That's simply not true. Konqueror is my main browser since KDE 3.x. There're only very few site that are unusable with Konqueror. I think there are as many sites which are unusable with Opera or gecko. Also I do some web development and must say, that IE and Opera generates much more problems in rendering websites correct than Gecko or Konqueror mainly while using extensive css definitions. Another thing is the speed. Konqueror is much faster on my maschine than Firefox (not to talk about mozilla). So, in summay IKonqueror is much more usable than any gecko based browser. Re: [kde 3.4.1] kmail composer crash when inserting file
Dear Bjorn, Cannot reproduce it on i386. I tried with a library of 45M and a zero-length file. Perhaps listing all your installed kde packages might help the developers. That's all I can do, hope that helps anyway (hmmm...)! Cheers, JD. desktop icons
Hi, I know I probably should post this message to the kde-develop list at kde.org and not here, but maybe somebody here knows the answer: when the icons placed at the desktop stop migrating around the screen? I mean in GNOME if you place the icon at the desktop - this icon will always stays on the same place, but in KDE the icons often jumps from place to place and sometimes it impossible to make them obey. Some of them hide themselfes behind the kpanel, some of them csoose a place at their own desicion and so on... I've tried out a lot of settings, but nothing help yet. Is there any plans to fix this annoying bug? Thanks in advance! -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

The examples for inperfect rendering are valid but this was the case for Gecko in the past, too. Why? Simply because the authors of those websites try to be all that fancy but usually only test against Firefox and IE. What a surprise that they work with Gecko engine :-/ I know another site: https://meine.deutsche-bank.de Try to enter the amount of numbers, the fields are not wide enough. I contacted the creators and indead they told me that they never tested with Konqueror or Safari, only with Gecko and IE (and that's still the only browsers that they support). And yes, I know sites where IE fails, and there are probably sites where Gecko fails.
