Bug#342457: kicker: kicker crashes on system shutdown
Package: kicker Version: 4:3.5.1-1 Severity: important When I reboot or shutdown my computer, it hangs on a kde message box telling that kicker crashed with signal SIGABRT. If I press enter it lets the computer power down. You will find the debugguer output in attachment. Oh, I hadn't this problem since recently, but I can't tell what triggered it, the only change I made recently that could maybe affect reboot and shutdown operation is to tell kdm I use lilo, but after test that doesn't change anything. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15.3 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages kicker depends on: ii kdebase-data 4:3.5.1-1 shared data files for the KDE base ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.1-2 core libraries for all KDE applica ii libacl1 2.2.34-1 Access control list shared library ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.17-1 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libattr1 2.4.25-1 Extended attribute shared library ii libaudio2 1.7-3 The Network Audio System (NAS). Bug#352086: libkjsembed-dev: libkjsembed.la depends on /usr/lib/libXft.la which no longer exists in debian
Package: libkjsembed-dev Version: 4:3.4.3-3 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable The file /usr/lib/libkjsembed.la has /usr/lib/libXft.la in the dependency_libs line, but this file is no longer shipped with libxft-dev since version 2.1.8.2-1. Bug#351930: bug solved in Qt4.1.1
Hey all, I asked on qtcentre.org and after some investigation http://www.qtcentre.org/forum/showthread.php?p=3569 we figured it was a Qt bug. So I compiled Qt4.1.1 snapshot and it solved my problem, no more segfault now. So I guess this bug can be closed as it's been solved and as it wasn't a Debian bug in the first place :)
Re: Keyboard settings
Hi, After i upgraded from kde 3.5.0-3 to 3.5.1-1 my keyboard setting did'nt work anymore. I checked Regional Accessibility - Keyboard Layout in kcontrol, and nothing was selected .because the keyboard model pulldown is empty. Does anyone know how i kan add the keyboards back again ? After some google searching, i found that KDE is using the keymaps/rules of xorg. That seems fine. $ kxkb Qt: Locales not supported on X server $ This looks strange, on google some people suggest LC_ALL is wrong, but i did'nt have that value set, and if i set it to something is still complains about the Locales. (tried ln_NL and C) Am i the onlyone with this problem ? -- Mvg, Ferdinand -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Restarting said services helpts to fix the problem, but it's rather weird. Anyone else seeing this? I've had this problem as well since upgrading to 3.5.1 with KNemo and the keyboard lay-out flag (to change from, say, English to French keyboard). I should this this is a bug. Has any one any information along those lines? I'm seeing this for klaptopdaemon, too, since upgrading to 3.5.1. KNemo is working fine at the moment.
