Bug#342215: Still happening?
tags 342215 moreinfo thanks Is this still happening? Please try upgrading your KDE packages in general. I suspect this was not a problem with KMail, but a problem with KDE or other libraries. I've seen crashes like this in the past that were caused by, for example, running a version of KMail from testing while using kdelibs from unstable. If so, I don't think this is exactly a KMail bug. pgp9CCOEU68PE.pgp Description: PGP signature

This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with. If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith. Debian bug tracking system administrator (administrator, Debian Bugs database) ---BeginMessage--- Package: kmail Version: 4:2.2.2-13 Severity: grave Current setup uses a local mail spool account. Upon exiting kmail, all emails in the current mail spool are deleted. (Yes, I've checked ~/mail, ~/Mail, and the spool file directly.) I lost over 800 emails in one fell swoop. Not a very happy camper, but, such is the price of running unstable. :-) To verify the action I created a script to repopulate the mail spool with 256 blank emails (subject only). Once again, kmail deleted all emails. There is also a second bug but I'll file a seperate one for that. -- System Information Debian Release: 3.0 Kernel Version: Linux laptop 2.4.17test1 #4 Sun Jan 6 22:23:05 PST 2002 i686 unknown Versions of the packages kmail depends on: hi libpng21.0.12-3 PNG library - runtime ii kdelibs3 2.2.2-11 KDE core libraries (runtime files) ii libc6 2.2.4-7GNU C Library: Shared libraries and Timezone ii libfam02.6.6.1-4 client library to control the FAM daemon ii libjpeg62 6b-4 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG runtime li ii libkdenetwork1 2.2.2-13 Common libraries needed for KDE network appl ii libmimelib12.2.2-13 mime libraries needed for some KDE applicati ii libqt2 2.3.1-19 Qt GUI Library (runtime version). ii libstdc++2.10- 2.95.4-1 The GNU stdc++ library ii procmail 3.22-2 Versatile e-mail processor. ii xlibs 4.1.0-13 X Window System client libraries ii zlib1g 1.1.3-18 compression library - runtime ---End Message--- ---BeginMessage--- KMail supports mbox now. Whoops, missed this thread. First of all, thanks to Peter for merging the changes and looking after CDBS generally. Bug#362972: nice to have: an external interface for stop, skip to next, etc
Package: juk Version: 4:3.5.2-2 Severity: wishlist It would be nice to have a way to hook up those special Play, Stop, Reverse and Forward keys on my keyboard to juk. The package hotkeys, for example, can be configured to run a command like xmms --stop. It would be nice if Juk had a similar command-line interface. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-k7 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages juk depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.2-2+b1core libraries for all KDE applica ii libakode22.0-4 akode plugin for aRts ii libarts1c2a 1.5.2-1 aRts sound system core components ii libc62.3.6-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.1.0-1 GCC support library ii libglib2.0-0 2.10.2-1The GLib library of C routines ii libgstreamer0.10-0 0.10.4-1Core GStreamer libraries and eleme ii libqt3-mt3:3.3.6-1 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libstdc++6 4.1.0-1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libtag1c2a 1.4-3 TagLib Audio Meta-Data Library ii libtunepimp-bin 0.4.2-3 libtunepimp simple tagging applica ii libtunepimp3 0.4.2-3 MusicBrainz tagging library and si ii libxml2 2.6.23.dfsg.2-3 GNOME XML library ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-11 compression library - runtime juk recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#362924: xorg 7 breaks kdm
severity 362924 normal quit On Sun, Apr 16, 2006 at 04:00:31PM +0200, Arne Anka wrote: Package: kdm Version: 4:3.5.2-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable after upgrade to xorg 7 kdm fails to start: kdm[15418]: X server /usr/X11R6/bin/X cannot be executed no wonder -- there's no /usr/X11R6/bin/X anymore. There is if you upgrade to the latest xorg packages. Ideally, packages should still be updated to reference /usr/bin instead of /usr/X11R6/bin, but this is no longer required for etch. If the maintainers are going to point to /usr/bin/X for etch, one of two things is required: - provide a fallback to /usr/X11R6/bin/X if /usr/bin/X is not found, or - depend on x11-common (= 1:7.0.0) and I would strongly advise *against* the latter, since it will make it much harder for apt to calculate an upgrade path from sarge to etch. -- Steve Langasek Give me a lever long enough and a Free OS Debian Developer to set it on, and I can move the world. Bug#362998: quanta: Quanta eats all of CPU and it's GUI freezes when creating new file in a WebDAV based project
Package: quanta Version: 4:3.5.2-1 Severity: important Create an empty, WebDAV enabled folder on a WEB server. The folder is accessed via webdavs on port 1443 and works fine with konqueror (webdavs://server.domain:1443) Open Quanta on the client and create a new project. Select WebDAV and configure the secure WebDAV access on port 1443 as usual. The project should be created successfully (but a bit slowly varying on your network speed to the server). Create a new index.php file in your project by right clicking the root node in the project tree and selecting new file. Enter index.php as the file name. The index.php file will be created in the WEB folder, but quanta will eat 100% CPU with a frozen GUI on the client. It remains frozen after 30 minutes and must be killed. I reproduced this bug three times with identical result. The bug occours when adding files to the project from the WEB folder. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.14-sirius-20051219-0354 Locale: LANG=hu_HU, LC_CTYPE=hu_HU (charmap=ISO-8859-2) Versions of packages quanta depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.2-2 core libraries for all KDE applica ii kfilereplace 4:3.5.2-1 batch search-and-replace component ii klinkstatus 4:3.5.2-1 web link validity checker for KDE ii kommander4:3.5.2-1 visual dialog builder and executor ii libacl1 2.2.36-1Access control list shared library ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.17-1Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libattr1 2.4.32-1Extended attribute shared library ii libaudio21.7-7 The Network Audio System (NAS).
