Some time ago, I had a similar problem because I had disabled the lo network interface for mistake Try to see if it's up using 'ifconfig'. KDE dies after login with KDM
Hello, since a few days, I see my KDE session dying immediately after login from KDM on my etch system. I can start KDE from the console with startx without any issues.
