Hi, While my overall experience is positive, I think that using old kdepim for next stable is the most sensible decission right now. Thank for the effort and consideration for alternatives though. Re: kdepim-runtime 4.8.4 in experimental, call for testing
Hello, The decision day approaches. However, given a range of mixed experiences, some of them positive, some negative, it seems that Debian Wheezy would be better off with kdepim-runtime 4.4.11.1 + kdepim 4.4.11.1 combination which, while not perfect, used to be supported by upstream in the past. At least we know what we can expect from it. We would like to thank you all for testing and giving valuable feedback. kdepim 4.8.4 will shortly arrive at experimental or qt-kde.debian.net so you can test the full KDE PIM 4.8 suite and maybe even start using it. The plan is to upload kdepim-runtime 4.8.x and kdepim 4.8.x to backports soon after they open for Wheezy backports (which will happen sometime after Wheezy release). -- Modestas Vainius signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

Thanks for the notice, the patch has just been imported in the packaging and it will be part of the next kde-workspace upload (due within the next couple of days). -- Pino Toscano signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.
Getting XDMCP to work with wheezy's kdm
(a similar mail was spam-filtered/didn't appeared on list on 21/6/2012) Hi, and thank you all for maintaining Qt/KDE in Debian! I'm logging via XDMCP to my wheezy workstation (kdm-4.8.4) from a squeeze laptop (kdm-4.4.5) via LAN. Sadly, I'm not able to do the same from a wheezy laptop (kdm-4.8.4) on the same LAN: kdm restarts when I get to XDMCP chooser. Could you please include this fix (which I think is related) https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=281862 into one of the next upgrades of kdm into wheezy? Being wheezy nearly frozen, should I file a bug report? Would it help getting this fix into debian?
