Thanks for adding the face module, I see that the contrib modules are
being installed under an opencv2 directory, is that intentional?

About the timing for the transition, it shouldn't hurt to ask the release team
about it. If all the issues raised by the opencv change have been
addressed and you are willing to fix any ripples it might cause then it might
be just a matter of waiting for the colliding transitions to settle.

Tested pdns 4.0.1-5 against the new botan1.10 1.10.13-1 and can
confirm that pdns still works (without rebuilding).

I have it on BTRFS and could make snapshots, but mostly I forget. The
filesystem is too full to keep snapshots for longer, so I do not use any
automatic snapshotting at the moment. Well for / it might work, but /home runs
full pretty quickly with a snapshot.

Hi,

I always have a backup of my Sid-system, made with fsarchiver.

apt-cache show fsarchiver

So if my system is really broken, I recover my backup in some minutes and
everything is fine.

Dear,

Yesterday morning (Nov 6) my screen stayed close to black, I did not read this

I reverted by installing several Stretch packages.

I just now re-installed all from Sid.

All working fine.

The BTS does not know about binNMUs (and I don't think it should, since
the numbers may not be in sync between architectures). (+b# suffixes are
stripped from versions). And the BTS considers bugs with the same
version fixed and found as "not fixed", to be on the safe side.

I usually close such bugs as "invalid", i.e. without a fixed version,
and a message like "fixed in binNMU".

Dear Maximiliano,

to give you a full report: This morning kaddressbook refused to work
because of a broken akonadi-system. Starting it out of a terminal it
told me something about not finding some mysql-stuff (I don't have
the exact output anymore).

I tried to figure out the mysql-akonadi relationsship, found an
empty /etc/akonadi directory and an /etc/xdg/akonadi-directory full
with mysql-related files. I remembered that I had some trouble with
the mysql-backend years ago and decided to purge the mysql-backend
because I thought relating to the dependencies it shouldn't be
necessary. This also removed mysql-client-core and mysql-server-core.
I personally deleted also the empty /etc/akonadi directory.

After this I got the output I quoted in the bugreport. Afterwards I
reinstalled akonadi backend-mysql which also reinstalled
mysql-client-core and mysql-server-core again. And now it works!

As you see my strategy wasn't very professional here. I should have
written the bug-report before purging akonadi-backend-mysql to get an
usable output. So it only remains the fact, that it didn't work
before purging the mysql-backend and works now after reinstalling it.

Sorry! I wasn't aware of the importance of this backend for making
akonadi work.

In theory that would be the case, but Lisandro has just asked the release

Was there any new package installed when you reinstalled
akonadi-backend-mysql?

But akonadi-server should work without this backend. At least the
dependencies declare:

Depends: akonadi-backend-mysql (= 4:16.04.3-2) |
akonadi-backend-sqlite (= 4:16.04.3-2) | akonadi-backend-postgresql
(= 4:16.04.3-2)

And the other two backends were installed!

The other backends require manual configuration. Please read:

/usr/share/doc/akonadi-backend-sqlite/README.Debian.gz

and:

This might fix the issue on the akonadi side, thus the clone and reopen. I'm

Ups, it seems that I misread the version.

In any case, ideally, a stable security fix shouldn't break existing software,
so, if feasible, it would be better to have this fixed in mysqld.

Bug#3 Kmail can't delete certain emails

2016-11-07 Thread Tim Ruehsen
Some (random ?) emails can't be deleted nor flagged as 'read'.

tested akonadictl fsck / vacuum / restart in all combinations without luck.

After restarting sddm when struck by Bug#1, those emails were gone. I guess,
restarting Kmail would have done the same. Still not very nice.

Bug#2 Kmail copy with files not functional

Copy a file from dolphin into an email... since today I just get the textual
link, not the file itself any more.

Any ideas how to fix that ?

Great, thanks.
However, with no additional dependency being added, this means Qt 5.7
will move to testing before the new lxqt-qtplugin does, breaking every
LXQt out there -- correct?

Kind regards,
Ralf

This is a bug in the backports version of mysql. A backports version
shouldn't break applications in stable. I'll reassign the issue to the mysql
packages.

I was able to fix it by adding "secure_file_priv=" to
~/.local/share/akonadi/mysql.conf

Sorry, but that's not something we can apply as a patch. It's a workaround
that you can apply as a user, sure. But it doesn't really help us to fix the
issue caused by the mysql upgrade.

Even if we manage to tweak the arguments from the code of the mysql backend
this wouldn't work with the previous versions of mysql (afaik).

This should, ideally, be handled by the mysql code that checks the
--secure-file-priv value.

Happy hacking,

This seems to have something to do with the platform integration. I am using
LXQt as my DE.
I noticed lxqt-qtplugin has not been re-build and is not even part of the
transition, maybe it should be?
I have version 0.11.0-3 installed.

Kind regards,

Bug#843511: libqt5widgets5: Some Qt applications segfault on startup

2016-11-07 Thread Ralf Jung
Hi again,

I managed to fix the crashes by re-building lxqt-qtplugin against
current unstable. The bug this clearly is in lxqt-plugin, reported as
#843512. Still, Qt 5.7 should probably not transition to testing
without a new version of lxqt-plugin.

Kind regards,
Ralf

Bug#843511: libqt5widgets5: Some Qt applications segfault on startup

2016-11-07 Thread Ralf Jung
Package: libqt5widgets5
Version: 5.7.1~20161021+dfsg-5
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

After upgrading to Qt 5.7, some applications fail to launch an segfault instead.

For example, here's lxqt-powermanagement:
#0 0x in ?? ()
