[ Simon Quigley ] * Remove unneeded runtime dependency, qml-module-org-kde-kirigami. * Add a missing line to debian/copyright (Closes: #895699). Thanks to Chris Lamb for the pointer! * Mark peruse-common as Multi-Arch: foreign, as recommended by the Multiarch Hinter. * Change maintainer to KDE Extras to be more specific. * Fix appstream-metadata-in-legacy-location by grabbing a patch from upstream. . [ Pino Toscano ] * Move the appdata, and desktop files from peruse-common to peruse: they need to stay together with the executable they refer to, otherwise the installation with AppStream is broken, and just installing peruse-common creates broken menu entries - add proper breaks/replaces for this * Do not include debian-qt-kde.mk in rules, since the dh sequencer is used directly. * Remove unused build dependencies: kdoctools-dev, libkf5newstuff-dev, and libkf5plasma-dev. * Remove the unused ${shlibs:Depends} substvar in peruse-common. * Tighten the peruse-common dependency in peruse. * Update the short descriptions to not start with a capital letter. So, we have upstream feedback now, but I'm not sure what to make of it. It seems the preference is to simply drop NM support in networkstatus, given that NM support in kdelibs4support was never actually enabled and kde-runtime is basically on its way out anyway. I have no preference either way. Can you please let me know how you intend to proceed? While the KDE 4 development is basically stopped, the code here was basically copied into the compatibility framework kdelibs4support; hence I'd prefer to see the resolution of #862877 (or at least upstream feedback on the patch for it), so the same fix can be backported here too. > I plan to NMU kde-runtime in a week or so and upload to DELAYED/10 > unless I hear back from you. Following: https://github.com/KDE/okular/blob/master/ui/annotwindow.cpp I get: https://github.com/KDE/okular/blob/2aa006fa87240a89ff8446744ccd9f86a48c8dd0/ui/latexrenderer.cpp tempStream << "\ \\documentclass[" << fontSize << "pt]{article} \ \\usepackage{color} \ \\usepackage{amsmath,latexsym,amsfonts,amssymb,ulem} \ \\pagestyle{empty} \ \\begin{document} \ {\\color[rgb]{" << textColor.redF() << "," << textColor.greenF() << "," << textColor.blueF() << "} \ \\begin{eqnarray*} \ " << latexFormula << " \ \\end{eqnarray*}} \ \\end{document}"; So I searched for the packages (latex's); I thought I did the search with sid, but re-reading myself shows different. https://packages.debian.org/stretch/texlive-latex-base [amsmath.sty, latexsym.sty, color.sty] https://packages.debian.org/stretch/texlive-base [amsfont.sty] https://packages.debian.org/stretch/texlive-generic-recommended [ulem.sty] https://packages.debian.org/stretch/texlive-base [amssymb.sty] After the install of that I get: "Cannot find dvipng executable" There is a package of that name, so I installed it. And Voilà! Therefore, for the one thing it might be suitable to put those 5 packages in suggested dependencies of Okular; possibly through a "metapackage", for simplification, and ease of removal. However the resulting Okular behavior is far from satisfactory: The inline note shows only the latex code: in order to see the result of it, one has to first double click the inline note, and then to click on "render latex code"; which is far from providing an immediate and intuitive view of the formulas. However, again, that could be use to compensate that poppler's utf8 related bug: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65956 Provided one possibly modify https://github.com/KDE/okular/blob/2aa006fa87240a89ff8446744ccd9f86a48c8dd0/ui/latexrenderer.cpp through the addition of latex packages to render desired fonts; not sure it is so easy, but is is probably easier than fixing a 5 years old poppler's bug.

Thomas Haller just confirmed on IRC that using nm-dbus-interface.h directly is fine and it was actually designed that way that it can be used from Qt without dragging in any gio dependencies. I guess that means v2 of my patch is the better approach, as it avoids having to rewrite the code to accomodate the use of -DQT_NO_KEYWORDS. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth? signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature
