I was not aware that spammers existed in Debian mailing lists xD

Miss Sophia,

It is strange that you are offering to share marketing information to a
mailing list primarily of tech support.

Re: black icons after kde upgrade

2015-09-01 Thread Keian Rao Eng Haau
For those confused, "nouveau" is "new".

Both pictures, respectively.
Sorry I can't help, just wanted to make it convenient for you guys.

OP, is your background also black, like the rest?

Re: Repeated KDE Wallet Password Requests

2015-05-27 Thread Keian Rao Eng Haau
Isn't there a "Remember All" option?
If so, have you tried using it?

I have reason to believe that the upgrade simply reset the settings.
I'm sure you can access them somewhere.

Re: Logout buttons no longer work

2015-02-03 Thread Keian Rao Eng Haau
Brad, considering you have done "sudo halt", this might sound a bit stupid,
but have you tried using "shutdown -h now" instead? You might need to sudo
that. For restarts, use "-r" instead of "-h".
What exactly happens when you try to logout? Nothing happens?

Re: What is the baloo file indexer doing?

2014-12-19 Thread Keian Rao Eng Haau
Have you tried the verbose argument?

I've never heard of baloo file indexer, but chances are, it has a -v
option. If you haven't, try turning that on, if it exists.

Re: Autostart fails on login, Leave is inoperable

2014-10-23 Thread Keian Rao Eng Haau
I'm barely knowledgeable in Debian, but I can see that segmentation faults
are happening in ksplashx and nacl_helper_bootstrap. You might want to see
if you can reinstall those, or maybe there's some sort of problem like
compatibility (wrong package installed for your system)?

I'm tracing a problem with debian kde. Randomly, at login, all of the
autostart stuff fails, (at the kmix icon-there isn't one.)
Additionally, the Leave function does nothing, (requiring su and
shutdown to be initiated manually from a terminal.)

The following is in dmsg, kern.log, and messages when things stop:

[ 23.726038] r8169 :03:00.0: eth0: link down
[ 23.726499] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

John

Sorry if I'm doing something wrong, guys. I'm new to mailing lists. You
might end up seeing a previous message by me; just ignore that.

And you mean 768MB of RAM? My iBook G3 with 64MB of RAM struggles hard to
run KDE3. I really doubt you can pull off even the Linux kernel on 768KB of
RAM.
